YSL #52 - Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick REVIEW (My love from another star colour)

Alright... my long awaited product! Finally i got you! Wait till my neck sour already! So long but it was all worth it!

I ordered this lipstick from Taobao and i was skeptical at first. Coz i dont really know if this is a real product and also the price was marked way up high! Just because it is sold out worldwide. It is highly sought because of Jun Ji Hyun! Oh my.. she is one hell of a goddess! haha.. can really turn the world upside down huh. Once this colour appeared on her lips, it immediately became the hottest best seller! 

Well, to be really honest, initially i wanted this is because of the raves. I was influenced. O.o
I confess.. :( But then.. while i was researching online.. reading blogs and blogs, watching tons of youtube videos.. i am starting to like ysl's lipsticks. Especially the rouge volupte range of colours. I love their pigments, the smell and the textures and of course definitely the packaging. So after i bought my first YSL rouge volupte in #33, i wasn't really excited about waiting for my #52 to arrive. lol. It's like i am so indulged in my new love and i've totally forgotten about the #52 was on its way to meet me.

But well, i finally received it and i am really really happy to have it! After i tried it, i immediately know the differences between #33 and #52. Their colours are really similar... i think #33 is the closest to #52 among all other subs like #17 or #51. The 33 is definitely the closest. However #33 is from the volupte line. which means it is very very pigmented and creamy.. unlike the rouge pur couture line... which is less creamy.

When i had my #33 on, i was actually thinking, if only it wasn't that creamy. Would be the perfect lipstick which i ever had! Because of the highly pigmented texture, i tend to eat it unknowingly.. and also i kept worrying that it wont stay on my lips. So, i just have to keep checking on my lips whether the colour is still there or did it smudge? is it uneven... etc...
After the arrival of my 52 rouge pur couture, hands down to it! Definitely better than my 33. Though i still love the both of them... but if you want a less creamy but very pigmented and at the same time moisturizing (without looking too moisturizing/oily) , YSL rouge pur couture is definitely the one!
ahh.. i just love them... my favourite lipsticks so far...

hehe im in my sleeping clothes. i just love them. They are soooo comfy that i dont care. :p

I am without any make up while i try the 52 on... see how it brightens up my whole face! Its definitely a nice colour. BUT, 33 could do the job as well! :) So far, these are the only lipsticks which could light up my whole yellowy face! And i am loving them to bits.. i can see myself using them in the future! :) Hope the trends die down soon so they wont be always off the shelves! :p hehe mean me.

I guess.. this would not be the end of my lipstick addiction... or maybe its the beginning of my make up addiction.. ><haha..

My wishlist as of 31-March 2014:
- a good foundation ( im looking at Lancôme Mat Miracle 24h Foundation, heard great reviews about it... especially when i knew it's designed for ASIAN SKIN)
- NARS lipstick in Schiap ( I want to look at it and try it.. just want to check if it is almost the same as my MAC candy yum yum since it was so highly sought as well)
- beauty blender ( the pink eggy sponge which is used to blend liquid foundation, bbcream, any creams - also super highly recommended by a lot of professionals and beauty gurus on youtube)
- Laniege skincare ( recommended by my cousie. When i heard that she said after she used their products, her pores became smaller! oh well, i NEED that ! So i will go and check it out)

Oh ya, btw, about the YSL #52, i paid a hefty $70 for it! Dammit! Taobao sells it at 55 but the shipping is 15. So all in all, 70 bucks. Worth it or not? Well, i would say no. It's not worth it because you could actually get 2 similar colours from YSL ranges as well. Be it from the volupte or Pur couture line. Because their colours are really really similar...... very close.  To me, i will just forget about ordering for 52 on such a ridiculous price. Well, i ordered it at first because i didnt know the original price. I was like 50 for a lipstick, is it reasonable? Because i didnt compare or research or anything, so i just bought it on impulse while i was on taobao.

After owning the product, i was actually thinking.. i could just wait for it to arrive Singapore after 2 months. Because i had so many other lipsticks, whats the point of getting another one immediately.
haha.. but then.. i WANT it.. although i DONT NEED it.
well, what could i say.. im a girl! :p

I realized that once you started to blog, you will keep on going.. It is just like a moment thing. Like adrenaline rush. Hopefully this rush will be a constant one and hopefully i will never abandon you. Because i really wish for my relationship to work out with the boy.

To digress a bit, last night i was browsing through TAOBAO website since nothing much to do. And i am super lazy to study although exam period is just nearby. Please, get me lazy bump out! Stop generating lazy juices! :( I seriously need some help. The boy was so tired and he slept after we reached home not long after dinner. He is really stressed out i guess. Work has been really hectic for him and of course his assignments and studies at the same time. I'll always support him no matter what. BECAUSE, we once discussed about it.. you know.. "it" means marriage! haha.. after we graduated in like another 1.5 yrs time, we can settle down. :)

SO, initially i was browsing at the makeup section... ysl lipsticks are still hot out there and everyone is like paying 50% to 60% more above the original price to get the super raved about YSL rouge pur couture #52. Well, i can't say people are crazy.. because i'm slightly.. hm, maybe just a little bit less crazy perhaps. Because i too, paid $70 for the #52 lipstick. I ordered it online at taobao. Not sure if it's genuine product but i think and i wish it is. They are sold within minutes after posting online by the sellers! Currently it is still out of stock in Singapore and i checked with the counters in Singapore, it may take around 2 to 3 months for the new shipment to arrive! some crazy shit huh? O.o

I'll talk more about the ysl lipsticks once my 52 arrives. with the others that i have in another post. If not this post will be way too long! It is actually quite a good habit to have your life events or happenings written down or captured etc... Like last time, in those days when internet is not available, people used to own a diary. Me too! I have a diary and i wrote down all the unhappiness events which happened in my secondary school days and of course like when you had a crush on someone, you just write down so many little things about the person. Like when he smiled at you, said hi to you... and you just have to put all these overwhelming feelings onto a book! Write it down, remember it, reminisce it, and feel it. (at that time la...) now i cant even remember where did i put my diary book at! lol

Back to browsing through taobao, i ended up at the wedding gown section! They are seriously damn pretty! Especially those designs by Vera Wang! I love them! aww. i wish i could be in them when i get married! Just so gorgeous! I simply love those long train of the gowns! Pure white, with unique details! Simple and yet with a twist is always my preferred choice! :) Because i could not go way too over! I love being simple but yet stands out! For example like in makeup, i dont really use a lot of product on my eyes or blush, however, i pay a lot of attention to my brows and lips and of course my  base. Because i have to go to work, like desk bound job... 8-6pm those.. boring typical office job, that's why i could not really put too much make up on. Some more it wont be good for the skin too. So the only thing that could make me stand out is my lip colour and my brows! :) Even before i developed this lippy addiction, i will always have a good lipstick on everyday. As i look very pale all the time, if i do not apply any colour to my lips, i look sick and yellow! eww!

I had ordered this IOPE lipstick online at qoo10.sg. The parcel arrived this morning. Very much a long wait because it was sold out again, thus i have to wait for them to restock. So far, i didnt see any amore pacific counters in Singapore, so i guess i can only purchase them online. Amore pacific is actually the parent company of Laneige. A little bit more pricey than Laneige i guess. They included in some samples as well.

So, finally i had my hands on this WATERFIT #44 FOREVER PINK lipstick.The packaging is reasonable as in it is sleek and not those short and fat types like MAC lipsticks. I love MAC's colour ranges however i dont really like their packaging... short and fat. Why can't they think of something less commercialized. Or maybe that is their theme perhaps.

The packaging design was ok. I quite like it because the cap is gold in colour! In fact, it is quite pretty. The colour is pigmented enough, one swatch on lips, i can see the colour already. Easy to use. Not too creamy, not dry too. So far, i had them on for 2 hours already and colour staying power is good. And i dont feel dry at all. The texture is a little like Chanel Rouge Coco Shine , very light but slightly drier. I find that Coco shine has the BEST hydration so far! I dont feel dry at all when im using Chanel's however the staying power is less. Colour doesn't really stay on too long on my lips.

#44 is a real pink colour. Very healthy i would say. More pigmented than Chanel coco shine. I love this colour! Not too plastic and not too dolly kind! It's like in between a matte and lustre lipstick.

My first Chanel lipstick! - Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chance #56! ( AWESOME)

Lately i realized after my purchase of YSL lipstick, i had turned into a lipstick addict. Basically stalking on reviews on youtube and beauty blogs everyday! I had already eyed on this Chanel coco shine line of lipsticks and actually although lot of reviews however the swatches just could not really reveal the awesome colour and texture that this Chanel lipstick has! I really agree with those bloggers now. It's like, pictures and videos just don't do the lipstick justice!

I had finally purchased the lipstick in Chance #56. A milky sheer pink colour which is very subtle and sweet. I really really love it! The smell is a tint of floral smell not too overpowering! And the texture OMG the texture is the best so far! (as in for lip balmy types), Chanel coco shine is really good. Now i can really experience what other bloggers had experienced when they had the coco shine lipstick. :)
My lips are onto the sensitive side. And i always had dry lips...easily peeled lips as well. Maybe because i am always in office round the clock with air-con! ><

However, this lipstick is super moisturizing and yet not too sticky or thick kind. It's so light and soft. Literally i feel that my lips is just so smooth and soft. Make me wanna smooch myself! KNS! hahaha
I am seriously really loving this and definitely will purchase again for a more coral pink colour.

Maybe #57 aventure? or #79 saga perhaps. Both exhibit coral pinkish colour which is so nice! ahhh.. when will my addiction stop.. i am going to be sooooo broke! And i only have 1 pair of lips! seriously can i stop now! :(

the funny thing is... i've infected my best cousie with this lippy disease! She said can save up to buy 1 high end lipstick a month!  HAHA.. you know who you are right, if you're reading this. Not sure if she reads though. lol.

Btw, this lipstick isn't cheap at all. I paid $44 for it. My colleagues helped me to get it. They went to town last night and to my very nice surprise i received this on my table this morning!

Although slightly cheaper than YSL rouge volupte. I'm quite surprised that YSL lipstick is actually more expensive than Chanel. Maybe their packaging. haha. we definitely are paying more for the luxurious classy YSL packaging... but i absolutely did not regret it. :) Not even a single bit!

[LANEIGE]- moisturizing lip balm & Intense serum lipstick in Neon Orange & [ETUDEHOUSE]- Face conditioning cream(Awesome)

Last week when i was walking around JEM, while waiting for the boy to end work, i passed by Etudehouse and saw this huge ass board at Etudehouse advertizing on their new product which is the face conditioning cream. I didn't intend to stop and look, however, i had some time to spare so why not. And i'm glad that i did. When i tried the cream on the back of my hand, it felt so smooth and so easy to blend, unlike their CC cream. The girl told me that this cream can be like a moisturizer or like a base before you apply any BB or CC cream which is very very good. Because usually i dont use makeup base coz i find them to be very oily on my face and i dont like the "thick" feeling like you are putting a lot of products on your face. I like to keep my face as light as possible and yet there must be some make up on to cover my flaws such as uneven skin tone and sometimes to cover some redness due to my sensitive skin.

Anyway, i bought it! coz it's only $19.90. It came in a very huge tube. Which i was quite surprised. I tried it on my face and applied it everyday since last week. And definitely my complexion really looks so much better with it on. As to what they claim - that the cream can condition you face and fix your make up to fit your skin tone. It's like.. amazing la!

Even if it doesn't really work for anyone, it can serves as a very good moisturizing base.
When i apply it, my skin looks so porcelain-like. lol! Which is a good thing because ive been looking for some product which could give me that Korean-porcelain-face look! Which is very difficult because due to our weather in Singapore, it's just too hot and humid. I think for countries like Korea, HK, Taiwan where they have like winter season, their skin is so much better!

Ok, to continue..... I also went to Laneige. Sighs. actually i placed an order at qoo10 for the intense serum lipstick in YR25 Neon orange. But after waiting for 2 weeks, the seller told me it was out of stock. I was mad furious ok! And i decided to go Laneige and get the lipstick instead.
And of course, i got their mosturizing lip balm as well. The lipstick is kinda pricey. It costs $34 and it's even more expensive than Urban Decay's lipstick. You add another 10 bucks you get Chanel's.

Anyway, i think... the product doesn't really justify itself for the hefty price paid. Although it is very very moisturizing, it just doesn't glide on nicely and evenly.. as in, it just felt like way TOO smooth.. usually lipstick needs to have  alittle bit of dryness in it right.. in order for the colour to set onto your lips.. and with the correct amount of dryness and moisturizing agent.. then you get the perfect combination. For the serum intense, it is really too intense.. for me la...
With only 1 swatch, my lips look like this already.... see below....

Kinda scary right... the colour is just soooo intense! Like it will smudge anytime and EASILY.  lol!  So, i tried another way to use it which is just to dab the colour onto my lips with fingers. Taught by the sales girl at Laneige.
That is probably better i guess.. for a more wearable look!

 So which is better?

For the lipbalm, to me, it just feels like any other lipbalm. Too overpriced for $22!
The vaseline in the red round tin which i bought at Mustafa for $2.90 is way  better!
And so far, Mustafa hasnt stock up for it yet, therefore, i am still hunting for a better lipbalm. :(

yup, im going to post some of my favourtie buys of the month! After watching" My love from another Star", i was so mesmerized by the look of Jun JiHyun (Cheong song yi) from the drama. She was out straight gorgeous with the simple makeup but stunning lipstick colours which just suits her so much! At first while watching the drama, i just thought " wow, she looks stunning" but i didn't thought after googling about her makeup and all.

Just when i was browsing through qoo10, there were a lot of ads about lipsticks and i just clicked on it to see amore was selling lipsticks featured by Jun jihyun and i immediately placed order for the #44 Forever Pink from Amore pacific and also the IOPE cushion (very very much raved by the Koreans). So, ive decided to give it a try. I did ordered the Laneige YR25 Neon Orange (also featured in the drama) but the seller told me it was out of stock after i waited for like 2 weeks! So i canceled it and bought it from Laneige counter at Jurong point. I guess, this month, omg, i spent a big bomb on lipsticks only! I cant believe it. Its like, 不买就不买, 一买就买了一大堆-可以用几年啊!
haha. A little bit "chisin" i know. And of course, the highlight of the drama is YSL Rouge Pur Couture no 52 which is currently sold out worldwide. (as of March 2014).
I could not get it anywhere.. but i ordered it through taobao. Not sure if it's trustworthy but i just give it a try. The store in sg said minimum have to wait for 2 months for stock to arrive.

I decided to try the intense serum lipstick in neon orange after reading Qiuqiu's blog about it. And she looked gorgeous in it. However, i tried on it, and just feels like didn't work out. I guess i need to search for a few more ways to use it coz ive tried and i look like a clown sia. OMG!

Actually for the MAC lipsticks, one of them was chosen by the boy. He said the candy yum yum is nice... and then i was like, wow, i didnt know you knew the popular colours! haha.. actually he didnt know it... hmm, does that mean that libra-ians have awesome fashion sense?
Or the both of us have the same taste!  :p

It was so pricey for just a small thing. But the packaging is awesome! Im totally in awe of it!
I can jut stare and stare at the packaging whole day long!
The lipsticks are so pigmented and moisturizing. Although not as much as the Laneige intense serum. It just glided nicely on your lips and you dont have to swatch so many times to get the colour out. If you get what i mean. :) Anyway, i really love them!

Starter

Finally, Ive decided to go back on blogging, after so many many years. I used to blog very often but after since my last breakup, i had deleted every single blog post and deleted the entire blog. So, right now, it is another startup of my blog. Just want to talk about my personal matters - about my life, my love, my feelings and moods. :)

Perhaps, blogging is always another way to voice up. Like things that you're so unhappy with and not able to voice it out. And to me, blogging is another voice. When i'm happy, i can blog too. So that i can remember. Maybe also a way to preserve our mind. :) Dont let it overwork by remembering so many things. lol. We are only humans and we tend to be very forgetful.  :p

So, this will definitely serves as a reminder list as well.... apart from blogging about my personal life. I have to post more often about the products which ive bought and tried. Some which i really really like and yet i've forgotten about the product models and names when they were all used up, with me ending up using another product... The cycle will repeat itself again and again. SO, i have to blog about the things that i bought!
